Top 5: Best Dedications in Books
I think I might be the only reader who reads the dedication of an author before I start the book. Some of them are short and sweet, while others are cute or funny or a mix of everything. Here are the top five best dedications in books I have read (in my opinion).
5. J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
→ Not only is the dedication addressed to the reader, but it’s also in the shape of Harry’s scar and is separated into seven parts (I won’t develop more because of spoilers).
4. Cassandra Clare, City of Ashes
→ It’s so relevant to the series! Hahaha!
3. Kiera Cass, The Selection
→ That’s just hilarious!
2. Rick Riordan (Aka Uncle Rick), The House of Hades
→ The caps. That’s all I have to say.
1. Antoine de St-Exupéry, The Little Prince
→ I love how relevant this dedication is to the purpose of the novel. I don’t know if it’s just me, but that dedication goes straight to the heat.
